The Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) is an affiliate of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Its 12 member institutions are located in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. The conference has a rich men's basketball tradition. Member schools have won the NAIA tournament 10 times. Member Oklahoma Baptist won in 1966, before the formation of the SAC, and in 2010, Oklahoma City won in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2007, and 2008, USAO won in 2002 and John Brown in 2005.
